Ciaran Martin set up GCHQ’s National Cyber Security Centre and then became its first chief executive. In this seven year period (2013-2020) he was a member of GCHQ’s board. Since 2020, Ciaran has been a Professor at the University of Oxford, specialising in cyber security policy. In the UK, he’s written on cyber security for The Economist, Financial Times, Telegraph, Times, Guardian, and Daily Mail and in the US he’s been profiled in the Wall Street Journal and interviewed in the Washington Post, with his work cited in the New York Times.
