Layla Polworth has dreamed of visiting the ancient oasis town of Araka all her life.

So when the opportunity arises to travel to Egypt as a consulting archaeologist on a big-budget action movie, she jumps at the chance.

Arriving on location amid breathtaking ruins, Layla hopes for a warm welcome from the cast and crew. Instead she finds the director doesn't want her there, conflict is rife behind the scenes and, to make matters worse, she is caught painfully off guard by a familiar face from her past.

The cameras are rolling. The actors are in place. But when the leading man is murdered, with Layla herself named the lead suspect, the drama really begins.

Trapped in the desert, with the sun blazing overhead, she must use all her ingenuity if she’s to prove her innocence – and stop a ruthless killer in their tracks.
