First airing in 1989, Red Dwarf was ranked 80th in 2019 by Empire magazine on a list of the 100 best TV shows of all time. I won an International Emmy Award in the ‘Popular Arts’ category and ‘Best BBC Comedy Series’ at the British Comedy Awards. Since airing there have been 12 series of the show, a 2020 film (The Promised Land) as well as The Red Dwarf Smegmazine.
