LEE CHIA-YING was born and raised in Taiwan. She writes in Taiwanese Mandarin and is the author of three short story collections. Her debut novel A Perfect Day to Put Your Headinthe Oven has received multiple literary awards in Taiwan and is being translated into twenty-one languages. She is now based in Boston and Taipei.
