LEE CHIA-YING was born and raised in Taiwan. She writes in Taiwanese Mandarin and is the author of three short story collections. Her debut novel A Perfect Day to Put Your Headinthe Oven has received multiple literary awards in Taiwan and is being translated into more than fifteen languages. She is now based in Boston and Taipei.
