The Fawn Girls

Following the death of her mother, Bridget discovers a family she never knew existed – an aunt, Ada Fawn, and three cousins.

When Bridget arrives in Louisiana to live with the Fawns, they welcome her with open arms. Ada is attentive and loving. Her cousins treat her as one of their own. Bridget can’t imagine why her mother would have kept these women secret.

But as the summer months draw on, Bridget realises there are strange goings-on at Fawn House – rituals her Aunt wishes her to join that she struggles to understand.

It starts with raw meat washed down with red wine at Sunday dinner. It ends with heady trips to the woods under the full moon, hunting wild animals with bare hands and teeth…

Bridget soon learns what it really means to become a Fawn girl – but can her humanity survive it?
