Tanya Pollard is a scholar of Shakespeare and early modern drama. She has written and edited eight books and collections, including Greek Tragic Women on Shakespearean Stages, which won the 2018 Roland H. Bainton Literature Book Prize. A Professor of English at Brooklyn College and the Graduate Center, CUNY, Pollard is Chair of the Council of Scholars at Theatre for a New Audience, and works closely with theatre companies, consulting on early modern plays on and off Broadway.
