LAURA SHEPHERD-ROBINSON worked in politics for nearly twenty years before re-entering normal life to complete an MA in Creative Writing. Laura’s new novel, We Are the Dead, follows the investigation of a modern-day murder at the Tower of London. It introduces Commander Brontë Hayes, head of the Met’s Special Enquiry Team, and launches a new crime series which scrutinises the British establishment and its most iconic settings.

Laura lives in London with her husband Adrian.
