Tony Blackburn is a British DJ and broadcaster, widely regarded as one of the pioneers of modern UK pop radio. He began his career in the early 1960s on pirate stations Radio Caroline and Radio London, and went on to be the first voice heard on BBC Radio 1, when it launched in 1967.

In the decades since, he has remained a constant presence on British radio and now hosts Radio 2’s Sounds of the Sixties, one of the most popular music shows on BBC Sounds.

Beyond radio, he won the first series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and continues to be one of the UK’s most enduring and recognisable broadcasting personalities. He lives in Barnet, North London and this is his fourth book.
