The oldest continuous imprint at Penguin Random House UK, Chatto can trace its origins back to 1855. During its history, the imprint has published many celebrated authors – Robert Louis Stevenson, Marcel Proust, Laurie Lee, Christopher Isherwood, Aldous Huxley, Sigmund Freud and Iris Murdoch among them.
