Penguin Press

Josephine Greywoode

Publishing Director, Penguin Press

I’m Josephine and my role sees me publish across all imprints at Penguin Press, the home of agenda-setting, bestselling, award-winning non-fiction and the beloved Penguin Classics imprint.

I am incredibly curious about global perspectives, passionate about literature in translation and fascinated with the human body and mind, and my list at Penguin Press reflects this. If you're excited by these ideas too, then I think Penguin Press could be the perfect place for you.

I have had the privilege of mentoring and publishing an emerging writer through Write Now, managing new colleagues from underrepresented backgrounds through The Scheme, and mentoring a number of colleagues from across the company. I’m excited to nurture a new commissioning editor through this traineeship.

I’m so looking forward to working with someone who will bring creativity and flair to the distinctive – and often design-led – publishing of Penguin Press.

What makes a Commissioning Editor in my team?

A Commissioning Editor at Penguin Press is curious about what lies off the beaten path and passionate about bringing bold new ideas to light.
