Join acclaimed and bestselling author Zadie Smith for an unforgettable evening to celebrate publication of her first historical novel The Fraud.

In this landmark novel Zadie Smith paints an exceptionally witty and moving portrait of London and Jamaica two hundred years ago, infused with her signature joy and originality.

Based on real historical events, The Fraud is a dazzling novel about how in a world of hypocrisy and self-deception, deciding what's true can prove a complicated task.

Zadie Smith is the author of the novels White Teeth, The Autograph Man, On Beauty, NW and Swing Time; as well as a novella, The Embassy of Cambodia; three collections of essays, Changing My Mind, Feel Free and Intimations; a collection of short stories, Grand Union; and the play, The Wife of Willesden, adapted from Chaucer. She is also the editor of The Book of Other People.

Don’t miss your chance to hear from one of the most distinctive, exciting and widely adored novelists of her generation live in conversation.

There will be a chance to ask Zadie your own questions during an audience Q&A section.

Zadie will be signing books after the show.
