Adam Thirlwell was born in London in 1978. The author of three previous novels, his work has been translated into thirty languages. His essays appear in the New York Review of Books and the London Review of Books, and he is an advisory editor of the Paris Review. His awards include a Somerset Maugham Award and the E. M. Forster Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters; in 2018 he was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. He has twice been selected by Granta as one of their Best of Young British Novelists.

Adiva Geffen is a bestselling writer and playwright. Her plays have appeared on major stages in Israel, she lectures and leads numerous writing workshops and she is a board member of the Israeli Writers’ Association. 
 
 Geffen started out as a special-education teacher, before serving as the spokesperson for the Habima National Theatre for more than a decade. She founded and subsequently led the Israeli Theatre Award for ten years, and now serves as head of The Gnazim Institute of the Hebrew Writers Association, the largest Hebrew literature archive in the world. 
 
 Born in Haifa, Israel and the mother of three sons, Geffen now lives in Tel Aviv with her partner Aharon Meidan.

The show finally returned home to Radio 2 in 1997, adapted by Peter Spence from his own TV scripts. Penelope Keith and Angela Thorne reprise their starring roles as Audrey fforbes-Hamilton and Marjory Frobisher, with Keith Barron as Richard DeVere.

Expect a summer festival with a difference as some of the nation's favourite comics turn curators and host a virtual festival featuring their favourite performers from the worlds of comedy, literature and spoken word. 
 
They'll be in control of everything (even the weather) as we're taken along for the ride to not only hear some great performances but also to get an insight into the cultural radars of our celebrity hosts. 
 
The six episodes are hosted in turn by Miles Jupp, Jo Brand, Daliso Chaponda, Jayde Adams, Sara Pascoe and Darren Harriott. 
 
Let them guide you around their bespoke festival sites to meet Val McDermid in the literary tent or Paul Sinha in the trivia tent. Daliso Chaponda puts on a Festival of Protest, Darren Harriott curates a Festival of the Unexpected, while Jayde Adams puts Sarah Millican in charge of the VIP tent and has Australian comic Rhys Nicholson as her designated driver. Stand-up legend Simon Munnery entertains from a field, there's performance poetry from Nafeesa Hamid and Hollie McNish, and much, much more.

 Next she considers whether masculinity has had unfairly poor press, and Robin Morgan asks members of the British public about their attitudes to men being men. She also welcomes a special guest, a man who knows all about how men should behave: Rupert Wesson from etiquette guide Debrett's. 
 
 And what about the environment? Is the planet really worth saving? Ellie's not so sure but to help talk it through she meets Ed Stafford, the first man to walk the length of the Amazon. 
 
 In the final episode, Ellie turns her attention to marriage, and wonders whether monogamy is all it's cracked up to be...despite being married herself.

On the 31st of October 2019, Britain finally didn't quite yet leave the EU. To celebrate this, Matt Lucas and David Walliams returned for a special episode of their much-loved sketch show Little Britain, the hit comedy that moved from radio to TV in 2003, running for three series, and went on to win back-to-back BAFTA awards for best comedy programme. 
 
News of the show was kept secret right up to the moment Matt &amp; David walked out on stage to a tremendous roar. Up to then, it had simply been called "The All Star Brexit Show" complete with fake billing. At that moment, the BBC flicked the billing, the title and the photo - and the press went nuts.

Can Nathan persuade his family to support his career choice? 
 
Janet a.k.a. Mum is probably the kindest and most lenient of the disappointed family members. At the end of the day she just wants the best for her son. However, she'd also love to brag and show her son off to her friends, but with Nathan only telling jokes for a living that's kind of hard to do. 
 
Martin a.k.a. Dad works in the construction industry and was looking forward to his son joining him to work together in the same field. But now Nathan has blown that dream out of the window Martin feels he has to get Nathan back into getting a real job. 
 
Grandma cannot believe Nathan turned down architecture for comedy. She didn't leave the paradise in the West Indies and came to the freezing United Kingdom for a better life so that her grandson could 'tell jokes!' How can her grandson go on stage and use foul language and filthy material... it's not the good Christian way! 
 
So with all this going on in the household what will Nathan do? Will he persevere and follow his dreams? Or will he give in to his family's interference? Or will he finally leave home?! 
 
This is the complete collection containing all three series - each episode is designed to show the criticism, interference and rollercoaster ride that Nathan endures from his family as he pursues his career against their wishes. The series is a mix of Nathan's stand-up intercut with scenes from his family life.

King Street Junior and its sequel, King Street Junior Revisited, ran for 20 years and 100 episodes between 1985 and 2005, and were among the BBC’s most successful and popular radio programmes. 
 
In these four series, we return to the inner-city primary in the new millennium. A different Head is in charge, but the challenges remain the same: from planning a big fundraising concert, to searching for a truant, to coping with wintry weather and a disappearing lollipop lady.
