Frankie Jones Knows Best (Book 1)

Perfect for fans of DAISY, WIGGLESBOTTOM PRIMARY and CLARICE BEAN! This is real life - told the Frankie Jones way, i.e. the best way.

If there’s one thing you should know, it’s that Frankie Jones knows best.

This is a story about me, Frankie Jones. It’s also about what happened when I started in Year 3.

Year 3 is COMPLETELY different to Year 2. In Year 3 you are allowed to bring your own pencil case to school and you are also allowed to carry a green school backpack instead of a book bag. In Year 3 you get to play in the bigger playground where there are trees and pinecones and a woodchip area with logs. In Year 3, you eat your lunch at 12.45 instead of 12.15 because you are INCREDIBLY patient.

Also, and this is the most important thing, in Year 3 you might get chosen to be a School Monitor.

But sometimes knowing best (and being School Monitor) might not be the most important thing in life - sometimes, being a best friend is what really matters.

Ruth Quayle (Author) Ruth grew up surrounded by sisters (she’s the middle of three). She spent a lot of her childhood writing to the tooth fairy, pretending she had a pet rabbit of her own and stomping up to her room to read books – vital training for a children’s author. She now lives in a small village near Oxford with her husband and three children. Annabel Tempest (Illustrator) Annabel always knew she wanted to grow up to be an artist. Nothing makes her more excited than a pile of paper and a seriously sharp pencil. Annabel has created many beautifully colourful books, and she lives in the countryside with her husband and a house full of muddy boys and dogs.
