When a sudden tornado engulfs the TARDIS, the Thirteenth Doctor and her fam find themselves transported to the magical land of Oz. With a damaged TARDIS and an unexpected stowaway from the 1930s, their only hope of getting home is to follow the yellow brick road. 
 
But when an army of scarecrows ambushes them, they quickly realise that everything is not as it should be, and they're thrown into a fight for survival against a mysterious enemy. As each of her companions becomes a shadow of their former selves, only the Doctor is left standing. 
 
Desperate to save her friends, she must embark on a perilous journey to seek help from the mysterious Wizard of Oz - and stop whatever forces are at work before she and her friends are trapped in the fictional world forever.

Robin Hood is disenchanted. Maid Marion has disappeared, and the legend of the Doctor has retreated into the shadows of Sherwood Forest.

And the timing couldn't be better. A new Sheriff of Nottingham is in town, out to get the Outlaws, and behind the scenes, the mythical Mother Maudlin has designs on the realm that are not of this earth. . .

A mysterious object is revealed, which grants those who touch it strange visions of Greek Myths. Gods, warriors and monsters are contained within this device, which its discover calls the mythoscope. 
 
But there is something sinister at play. A powerful influence seems to be controlling the mythoscope . . . mastering it. 
 
Jo and the Doctor must enter the mythoscope to face an old and terrible enemy - bargaining with Zeus, battling dragons and journeying into the underworld. 
 
As dangers beset them on all sides, only an object of wondrous power can save them from total destruction . . .

Bali Rai's first novel for young adults (Un)Arranged Marriage, created a huge amount of interest and won many awards, including the Angus Book Award and the Leicester Book of the Year. It was also shortlisted for the prestigious Branford Boase first novel award. Rani and Sukh and The Whisper were both shortlisted for the Booktrust Teenage Prize. Bali is also the author of the hugely popular Soccer Squad series for younger readers.

Jack Heath wrote his debut novel, The Lab, in secondary school and sent it to a publisher at age seventeen. In 'Dead on Arrival', Jo Grant finds out what it's like to be a ghost when she realises that no-one can see her. Even more alarmingly, the Doctor and the Brigadier appear to be mourning her death! Something has gone very wrong since her last trip in the TARDIS - but how can she tell the Doctor about it? 
 
In 'The Traitor', the Fourth Doctor and Sarah help rescue the survivors of a crashed spaceship, only to discover that they are scientists deliberately marooned on a distant planet. The people plead with the Doctor and Sarah for help - but what happens next is far from expected. 
 
In 'The Power', the Doctor and Leela are among those invited to the wedding of Princess Azula on the planet Shem. Yet barbarism still rules over a divided people, and the time travellers become embroiled in a bitter tussle for the secret of the mysterious Power. 
 
Adapted by Paul Magrs from strip stories first published in the Doctor Who Annuals of the 1970s, these stories are brought to life by three much-loved readers and some stirring sound design.
