(Death's Head Book 2)

Death's Head: Maximum Offence (Death's Head 2)

Action-packed, testosterone-fuelled - the second explosive Death's Head adventure from the elusive David Gunn

A joy to read. First person, stripped back, black as night noir...it's even better than its predecessor

A non-stop outrageous adventure...lock and load into the story and have a great time

So damn exciting you'll need oxygen afterwards

Smartly dressed, resourceful and discreet, David Gunn has undertaken assignments in Central America, the Middle East and Russia (among many other places). He comes from a service family, has an impressive collection of edged weapons and sleeps with a shotgun under his bed. He is happiest when on the move and tends not to stay in one town or city for very long. Despite this peripatetic existence, he's now completed three action-packed Death's Head novels.

The Aux have been dropped on a far-flung planet called Hekati, only it's in Uplift space and not really a planet at all. As for their mission, it's so damn secret that General Jaxx hasn't even told Lieutenant Sven Tveskoeg what it's about. It appears a citizen of the United Free, an empire not only more vast than Octo V's but far more technologically advanced, has gone missing on this artificial world and it's up to Sven and the Aux to find the poor soul. But Hekati is a realm where nothing is quite as it seems and no one can be trusted. Smelling a rat, Sven is so not happy - and when he's not happy is when bad things start to happen - and the body count starts to rise...
The devil-may-care not-quite 100% human mercenary soldier-cum-killing machine Tveskoeg and the Death's Head squad are back: cue more extreme violence, a mega death toll, dirty sex, fiendish plot twists and explosive, non-stop action!

(Death's Head Book 1)

Death's Head

A hugely entertaining, action-packed, testosterone-fuelled, bone-crunchingly violent SF adventure...

I was hooked...took me right back to the fun I had reading Edgar Rice Burroughs' John Carter on Mars or the old Robert E Howard Conan books!...Yeah! 'Starship Troopers' meets Schwarzenegger's 'Commando'.

The plot kicks off at an absurd speed and never really lets up...an outrageous read: violent, witty and immense fun

Powerful and explosive...Tveskoeg is one of the classiest fictional hard men I've come across in a long time

Unashamed, balls-to-the-wall science fiction...violent, graphic and at times a little crazy...A fun ride

Crunchingly hard...shocking, exciting, murderous fun with more than little intrigue to keep you guessing. This is how cults are born

Sven is a fun guy to hang out with - disrespectful of authority, always ready with an outrageously violent plan...there are some great large-scale battles, and things explode with indecent regularity

Smart, resourceful and discreet, David Gunn has undertaken assignments in Central America, the Middle East and Russia (among many other places). He is happiest when on the move and tends not to stay in one place for too long. He comes from a service family, has an impressive collection of edged weapons and sleeps with a shotgun under his bed. Death's Head is his first novel.

Few survive the cage. Fewer still live to face the whipping post. Of those who do, few are in a state to know what is happening to them. One of those who does is ex-Legion Etrangere sergeant Sven Tveskoeg. As this stubborn, insubordinate son-of-a-bitch feels the first lash fall, he hears the desert tribes attack, and watches as they slaughter his comrades before they can execute him.
Rescued from certain death, Sven joins the tribes. Until his ruthless skills come to the attention of the Death's Head, the infamous elite special ops force. They want Sven to sort out a little 'local difficulty'. But it seems all is not as it should be. Sven feels he's a pawn in a deadly game, and pawns have an unfortunate habit of being sacrificed. But Death's Head Second Lieutenant Tveskoeg, Obsidian Cross 3rd Class, is nobody's sacrifice. And even a pawn can checkmate a king...

More carnage than the entire 'Rambo' series combined...hard-hitting and difficult to shake off...it leaves you thinking and, in its own perverse way, hungry for even more.

(Death's Head Book 3)

Lieutenant Sven Tveskoeg is in disgrace. His victory on Hekati, and the emperor's favour, have turned his patron against him: General Indigo Jaxx wants Sven dead. Exiled to Wildeside, Sven waits for Jaxx's assassin. He hunts, he fieldstrips his weapons, he tries not to mind. At the age of 28, he's lived longer than he expected anyway.

But then Sven finds himself offering to save the life of Jaxx's son. This means returning to Farlight, where he finds that the emperor is missing, his empire is collapsing, there are murderous riots in the capital and General Jaxx stands on the edge of ruin. All Sven has to do is nothing. But when has he ever done anything that sensible...

The devil-may-care, not quite 100% human, mercenary soldier/killing machine known as Lieutenant Sven Tveskoeg and his like-minded team, the Aux, are back in a third explosive, non-stop action-filled adventure.
