When Betsy Came to Babysit

A fantastic, funny reminder that sometimes being good can be the most fun of all.

Elizabeth Dale is the author over twenty books, from picture books to novels for young readers. 
 
Some of them deal with issues she has faced with her own children such as a pet dying - Scrumpy (Andersen) or an over-adveturous hamster - Hammy (Orchard), others like Don't Get Dirty Gertie (Bloomsbury), When Betsy Came To Babysit (Tamarind) and The Carrot Cake Catastrophe (Gullane)are just pure fun. Wouldn't you try to get away with all kinds of craziness if your babysitter says she has never babysat before? But would you want to eat a carrot cake made by a little rabbit and her grandfather who can't see properly - because his glasses are covered in flour? 
 
Zoe Waring is a talented new illustrator.

"I don't know anything about babysitting," Betsy says to Ria and Josh. 
So the children let her know all the wild things that they get up to when they have a babysitter. But Ria and Josh discover they aren't the only ones who can be wild...

A lift-the-flap face-mask book

In Smiley Eyes, Smiley Faces, toddlers can take an interactive tour through the town, meeting different face-mask-wearers along the way. Toddlers can then lift the mask-shaped flaps to reveal the smiley faces underneath the bright, colourful masks. They can even lift their own mask at the end of the day with the surprise mirrored finale!
