An absolute delight - impossibly funny, astute, candid and moving - I think Louisa M Alcott would be blown away by Daisy Buchanan's wonderful reimagining of the March sisters. And what a treat to spend time with their brilliant, battle-wearing and achingly human mother. A standout novel.

This was simply joyful . . . Full of heart, and the knottier realities of motherhood - with moments of such emotional heft - this is a warm hug of a novel that is going to make thousands of people both happy and tearful (in the best way).

The only bad thing about All Grown Up is that it has to end. Lots of books are described as comforting but this book brought me genuine, genuine comfort: the perfect blend of familiar and the contemporary. It takes one hell of a writer to take on Little Women, but Daisy is one hell of a writer.

I adored All Grown Up. Delicious and charming, I was smitten from the very first line and emotionally wrung out by the last. Daisy has a way of writing that makes me feel like I'm talking to my wisest, warmest and funniest friend
