Little Rabbit Lost

It's Little Rabbit's birthday and, as a treat, the whole family go to the Rabbitworld Theme Park. Little Rabbit thinks he's so grown-up that he doesn't need to stay with his Mama. However, he soon realises that he is just a little rabbit after all and does need looking after.

Harry Horse was born in Coventry. He wrote and illustrated several children's books - including THE LAST POLAR BEARS and THE OGOPOGO, which won the Scottish Arts Council Writers' Award. He was well-known as a political cartoonist and produced cartoons for the New Yorker, The Guardian, Scotland on Sunday and The Scotsman. Harry died in 2007.

Little Rabbit's Christmas

Christmas is coming and all Little Rabbit wants is a shiny red sledge. When he wakes up on Christmas morning he isn't surprised that he can't find it in his stocking because that's a little small for a sledge. But when he cannot find it under the Christmas tree either, or stuck up the chimney, or under his parents' bed, he is heartbroken! "I only wanted a sledge," he weeps, until Papa tells him to stop crying and look outside. And there it is - all shiny and red an new, just waiting for Little Rabbit to play on it. He feels very proud when his friends gather round to admire his wonderful present, but they want to play on it, too! Little Rabbit thinks that's not fair - it's HIS sledge and HE'S the only one allowed to ride it! What will make him learn to share?

Little Rabbit Runaway

Following on from the huge success of Little Rabbit Lost and Little Rabbit Goes to School, a fantastic and beautiful new story all about running away. Little Rabbit is fed up with being told off and decides he'd be better off living on his own. So he runs away from Mama and Papa and starts building his own house under a hedge (at the bottom of the garden). Before too long another little runaway, Molly Mouse, appears and they decide that two runaways are better than one. But soon after building their lovely new home, Little Rabbit quickly discovers Molly Mouse is a bit of a bossy boots and keeps telling him off - just like Mama and Papa. Then Molly Mouse terrifies him with a scary bedtime story and all Little Rabbit wants is to be tucked up safe and warm in his real home. Luckily, Mama and Papa know exactly where to find him and come - along with Molly Mouse's mama - to take him home.

On holiday in Saltbottle, Grandfather and Roo discover the Unsinkable, the boat which took them to the North Pole in the first book, lying in a sadly dilapidated state and up for sale.  At the auction, the short-sighted auctioneer accidentally sellsthe boat to Roo - sold to the old lady in the brown fur coat!  Now they have to find the money and the Captain suggests a fishing trip to the Great Cod Banks in the Forgotten Sea.  Off they go, but the trip ends in disaster when the boat sinks and Grandfather and Roo are cast away on a desert island. They find their own Man Friday (called Tuesday) but he turns out to be a film director staying in a luxury hotel. Meanwhile, the Captain has found the treasure and rescued the Unsinkable.

It's Little Rabbit's first day at school. He decides his favourite toy, Charlie Horse, wants to start school too, so they set off together. Before they've even got to school, Charlie Horse has made Little Rabbit eat his whole packed lunch and then proceeds to create mischief all day - galloping when he should be listening and jumping in the cake mix. Little Rabbit gets very upset when Charlie Horse leads him away from his new friends on a nature walk and they find themselves all alone in the wood ... But Little Rabbit's teacher and friends find them and Little Rabbit goes home happy, looking forward to his next day at school - having decided Charlie Horse isn't ready to start school and can stay at home!
