Rose Tremain

Rose Tremain is the author of fourteen novels and five collections of short stories. Her work is published in twenty-five countries, and she has won many literary awards, including the Prix Femina in France, the Whitbread Novel of the Year Award, the James Tait Black Memorial Prize the Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction and the South Bank Sky Arts Award. She lives with the biographer, Richard Holmes. She was made a CBE in 2007 and a Dame in 2020. Iron Robin is her first book for very young children.

Richard Jones (Illustrator)

Richard Jones was born in Coventry, in the West Midlands and grew up in Leamington Spa, UK. After three years of painting, film making and art history at college he moved down to Devon, UK to study Illustration. After graduating, he worked in a busy city library for almost 15 years. He now writes and illustrates full time.
