On Being Seen

In this exhilarating collection, following her celebrated debut, Notes to Self, Emilie Pine once again faces up to the seemingly unsayable, asking what it means to live in, and to resist, a culture steeped in violence against women. She writes about moving through the world in a female body; about what it means to witness trauma, in life and in art; about good sex and bad; about intimacy and its opposites; about love and loss, luck and risk – and finding your way back to life.

Emilie Pine is a writer whose words make us all feel less alone.

Fiercely feminist, fascinating. I have recommended this to several people. And I'm doing the same here
