In the land of Idyll, Rima has been secretly writing stories under the pen name Lady of the Wood and longs for a life as a published author, but her family expects her to marry instead.

Her twin, Tahir, has become a skilled magician in the royal court, while Rima has no magical abilities. In desperation, she seeks out Dante, a mysterious and powerful magician living in exile.
