90 Penguin Years at Waterstones Piccadilly

A special pop-up shop celebrating 90 years of Penguin's history

This summer, we’re running a pop-up at Waterstones Picadilly, featuring over 1,000 fiction, non-fiction and children’s books, to celebrate Penguin’s 90th birthday.

Taking over the ground floor of Waterstones’ flagship store in Central London, the largest bookshop in Europe, we’re bringing Penguin’s history to life through curated displays, audio from books and authors, entertaining events, and a display cabinet of Penguin memorabilia and curiosities.

There will also be a dedicated space to showcase the Penguin books that Waterstones booksellers have particularly loved and championed over the years.

Whether you’re looking for ideas for your next summer read, or hunting for a great gift, this is a space for every book lover.

It's completely free to visit, and we're hosting a range of exciting events throughout the summer. Dive into live podcasts, challenge yourself with pop-quizzes, and connect with fellow book lovers at traditional book clubs. These events will announced shortly, and tickets will be available on the Waterstones website.
