Petra

Meet Petra — she's not just a rock . . .

Petra is a mighty mountain that can't be moved by the wind or time. Or so we think until we discover that she's actually something even more astonishing. Petra has the potential to be anything – an island, an egg, even an elephant – thanks to her lively imagination.

A powerful and charming story about identity, imagination and being yourself — whatever that may be. From acclaimed author-illustrator, Marianna Coppo.

Marianna Coppo is an author and illustrator from Rome. She studied illustration at MiMaster in Milan and children's literature at the Accademia Drosselmeier in Bologna.

In her spare time—between eating bruschette and searching for flight offers online—Marianna works on her picture books. She uses a mixed technique combining tempera, pastels and digital collage, but sooner or later she'll try something different. Marianna loves irreverent stories, free camping, mountains, and filet mignon with green pepper.
