*Just Got Real: Sunday Times bestseller January 2023*

I've read - and loved - ALL of Jane Fallon's books, but Just Got Real is her best yet! The plotting is as ingenious and entertaining as ever but this book has a lot of WARMTH and HEART. It's especially gorgeous on female friendship

We drop everything for a Jane Fallon novel and this is one of her best

Y'know when you find a book that you cannot wait to get back to, that you sneak time on your own with or cancel arrangements in order to read? Well this is one of those books. Had me gripped and spellbound. I kept saying to myself 'Just one more chapter'...and then a chapter later 'Okay, just one more'... I found it impossible to put down. Jane Fallon is SO good at human behaviour and what makes us tick. Fabulous characters and a story that just will not let you go! Loved it.

This escapist gem is loud-snort funny

Jane Fallon's wry observation and razor-sharp wit in this unputdownable page-turner will grab you from the first page and the action races along at breakneck speed. Best of all, this is a tale of female friendship - of three women who have nothing in common except their determination to turn the tables on a deceptive man.

Funny, fresh and clever...the perfect poolside read

Jane just keeps getting better and better. Her books are so smart, funny and warm. I really love her relatable characters, who appear fragile until they become warriors we cheer for

Witty, smart, topical and full of heart...the sun-lounger smash of the summer

Jane Fallon's wry observation and razor-sharp wit in this unputdownable page-turner will grab you from the first page and the action races along at breakneck speed. Best of all, this is a tale of female friendship

I whipped through Just Got Real by Jane Fallon in a single sunlounger session and howled with laughter . . . A tautly plotted story of betrayal and revenge, it's threaded with authentic characters and heartwarming friendship

Witty, funny, beautifully written and dotted with life's truths like sprinkles on a birthday cake

Sharply observed, wickedly funny, with real depths of emotion too. Absolutely unputdownable.

Her snappy, clever fiction . . . seems to slip down like a glass of nicely chilled white wine. Just Got Real - her 12th book - makes no exception . . . Fallon has a nose for distilling the zeitgeist and we are in The Tinder Swindler territory here

I'm a huge fan of this author's gripping, sharp and brilliantly twisty books, and I'm delighted to report that this latest is just as deliciously readable as the rest . . . A rollercoaster of revenge. I loved it

'I loved it.
Jane Fallon's Just Got Real is one of those rare novels that brings both a tear to your eye and a chill to your heart.
The set-up is glorious - a woman who joins a dating app with a fake photo meets a man whose photo is the only real thing about him.
This is the great dating app novel, red in tooth and claw, full of secret lives and lies, the story of what we will do to find love - and how far we will go when that longing is cruelly betrayed.
Just Got Real is a story of four vividly-drawn women and one horribly believable man, a novel about friendship and treachery that contains what must be the killer twist of the year. Totally brilliant.'

A smart and funny look at the pitfalls of online dating. It provides laugh-out-loud moments . . . I've read all Jane Fallon's books!

Jane is the absolute master of twisty, contemporary storytelling

Your writing makes the world a brighter place, [Jane Fallon]. Just Got Real is an absolute joy

A deliciously compelling story of romance and revenge. Just Got Real is intelligent, funny, and sharply observed. Be prepared to read in one sitting!

'I finally finished this BELTER of a read from Jane Fallon...It is FABULOUS - with such warmth and humour, and the usual dose of the dish that is best served cold. Just Got Real is the perfect summer read.'

A real page turner. I loved this addictive story about love, loss, revenge and friendship. Readers will be rooting for Joni and her friends, but my most favourite character was Tyson, the furious chihuahua! I love Jane's books and this one was such a treat to read

A brilliantly spiky read. Loved it

Ingenious. Her eye for detail, compressed emotion and the absurdity that lurks beneath what people say to each other, is unerring. One of our very finest comic novelists

I LOVE her books. She always delivers a fabaliss read

Joni never thought she would try online dating. She's so nervous that she posts fake photos - but when she starts talking to Ant, who's desperate to meet her, she doesn't dare come clean. Instead, Joni finds a way to meet Ant without revealing her true identity. Skeletons

The bestselling author of Getting Rid of Matthew and My Sweet Revenge tells a story of discovered secrets and the price of keeping them in her stunning novel Skeletons

Jen has discovered a secret.
It's not hers to share, but is it hers to keep?

If she tells her husband Jason, he might get over the shock but will he forgive her for telling the truth? She might drive a wedge through their marriage.

If she tells someone else in Jason's family - the family she's come to love more than her own - she'd not only tear them apart but could also find herself on the outside: she's never really been one of them, after all.

But if she keeps this dirty little secret to herself, how long can she pretend nothing is wrong? How long can she live a lie?

There's so much food for thought in this complex, moreish, emotionally intelligent tale

Since she was a little girl Jen always wanted a big, happy family. Being an only child with just her lonely mother for company was too gloomy for Jen. So when she married Jason and became part of the Masterson clan - a family that could easily have appeared in an Enid Blyton novel - she got exactly what she wanted. For years everything was perfect.

Getting Rid of Matthew

SOON TO BE A MAJOR NETFLIX FILM STARRING EMMA ROBERTS, LUKE WILSON and HEATHER GRAHAM

Breaking up is hard to do. Especially when he's left his wife for you . . .

What to do if Matthew, your secret lover of the past four years, finally decides to leave his wife Sophie and their two daughters and move into your flat, just when you're thinking that you might not want him anymore . . .

PLAN A: Stop shaving your armpits. And your bikini line. Tell him you have a moustache that you wax every six weeks. Stop having sex with him. Pick holes in the way he dresses. Don't brush your teeth. Or your hair. Or pluck out the stray hag-whisker that grows out of your chin. Buy incontinence pads and leave them lying around.

PLAN B: Accidentally on purpose bump into his wife Sophie. Give yourself a fake name and identity. Befriend Sophie. Actually begin to really like Sophie. Snog Matthew's son (who's the same age as you by the way. You're not a paedophile). Buy a cat and give it a fake name and identity. Befriend Matthew's children. Unsuccessfully. Watch your whole plan go absolutely horribly wrong.

Getting Rid of Matthew is the sharp and hilariously funny novel from bestselling author Jane Fallon. It was also a Richard and Judy pick.

Jane Fallon

One of those novels I couldn’t wait to get to every evening. Propulsive, with twists and turns I didn’t see coming, yet warm and good-hearted. I enjoyed it SO much

What a marvellously entertaining writer Jane is. A smart, funny and yet beautifully humane story…I loved being immersed in the world of Kitty and her neighbours. The tangled web of deceit was a knotty one to unwind but I had such a good time doing it

A brilliantly twisty drama to curl up with

I LOVED it - deliciously twisty, satisfying fun. I'm always so happy when I'm reading Jane Fallon - I can never begin to guess where she's going, but how I adore coming along for the ride! An absolute pleasure to read

A hugely enjoyable and totally unpredictable tale of social climbing, curtain-twitching, bed-hopping and scheming. This is Jane Fallon at the top of her game.

Warm, witty and wise, this wickedly funny tale of betrayal, infidelity, jealousy and friendship had me gasping with surprise till the very satisfying end.
The psychological sands constantly shift as you Agatha-Christie your way through the mischievous twists & delicious turns of this suburban noir fun fest

A dark tale about friendship, jealousy and lies

Until recently, the most exciting thing that that happened in Ashdown Close was a parcel going missing.

That was before the arrival of Sian and Richard at number 8. They are cool, glamorous, and everything that Kitty hoped her life in London would be. Kitty can’t help but be dazzled by her new neighbours, and makes it her mission to befriend them.

But when she sees a mysterious stranger leaving their house, she realises they might not be the perfect couple she thought. Aided and abetted by her reluctant best friend Grace, Kitty is determined to find out the truth.

But nosy neighbouring has consequences.

And on a street where everyone knows everything, what if you uncover more than you bargained for?
