Will is the book that Will Self was born to write: a funny, frenzied and brutally honest memoir about his drug addiction in the 1980s and his attempts to grapple with adult life as he left university for the professional world.
Will Self is the author of novels and books of non-fiction, including Great Apes; The Book of Dave; How the Dead Live, which was shortlisted for the Whitbread Novel of the Year in 2002; The Butt, winner of the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction in 2008; Umbrella, which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 2012; and Shark. His most recent novel, Phone, was shortlisted for the Goldsmiths Prize in 2017. He lives in South London.
