The Penguin Podcast nominated for British Podcast Award

British Podcast Award

The Penguin Podcast has been nominated in the 'Best Review' category at the 2017 British Podcast Awards.

Open to all entries - from big brand podcasts to bedroom publishers - the awards celebrate the great work done by podcast creators and encourage listeners to try new shows, with the winners announced at a gala dinner at London's Platform Theatre on the 29th April.

Produced alongside Somethin' Else since 2015, The Penguin Podcast has now had over 800,000 downloads and has been a regular mainstay in both the Arts and Literature iTunes charts. Since announcing new hosts David Baddiel, Konnie Huq and Paul Smith in November, guests have included Zadie Smith, Ali Land and Harriet Harman.

Earlier today, the podcast was also given an honourable mention in the Podcasts & Digital Audio section of the 2017 Webby Awards for the David Baddiel and Johnny Marr episode.
